Manchester Piccadilly Station Stabbing: 13-Year-Old Boy Injured as Four Teens Arrested

A 13-year-old boy has been stabbed at Manchester Piccadilly train station, police have confirmed.
The teenager was attacked on Monday afternoon (28 October) near the short-stay car park and was rushed to hospital following the incident. According to British Transport Police (BTP), his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
A 13-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent.
Three other boys — one aged 13 and two aged 12 — were also arrested on suspicion of affray.
All four have since been released on bail as detectives continue their investigation into the broad daylight attack.
Detective Inspector Stephen Kite, from British Transport Police, described the stabbing as a “shocking incident” that unfolded “in front of horrified onlookers.”
He said:
“We have spoken to a number of witnesses alongside other enquiries we’re working on, but we believe there may be more people who saw what happened and have yet to come forward.
“We also believe there were people driving past who may have captured important dashcam footage showing what happened. I urge those people to contact us as quickly as possible.
“We will not tolerate violence on the railway network and will do everything we can to bring those responsible to justice.”
The victim has since been discharged from hospital.
